Yes, we have moved AGAIN. We are done moving. Forever. I really, really hope. Between doing some slight renovations of the new house (which always seem easy and insignificant but turn into GINORMOUS projects) packing with two little ones (often sick) and moving/unpacking for the second time in 5 months it was about all I could handle. But happily we are done, happy and loving the new house. We love the extra space and are surrounded by extremely friendly horses and some "skittish" chickens. (Aren't chickens supposed to be skittish?!)
Everything comes with a tradeoff- I will miss West Salem. My normal little shopping and coffee convinces that were so close. Being close to church and friends but having the extra space to play and explore out weigh everything else for us. Oh, and the scary shoot out that most recently happened at the Walmart nearby. Welcome to the new neighborhood.. :-/ Hopefully we won't hear of anything like this again for a very long time. It did remind me to pray for continuous protection. You never know when you could be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Our puppy is home now too. We are soo happy to have Frankie back! Thank you mom and dad for watching him for 3-4 months! And thank you Oma and Gpa for watching the kids over night so we could unpack! So blessed to have such great support from our parents.
Ara and Sawyer have adjusted better than I thought. Last move was a little rough for a few nights, waking up crying. But so far both kids are sleeping great and happy. I think it helped a lot that we had came out to the new house so often during renovations. They were very familiar with the house and seemed to enjoy the new found freedom of outside space.
Other than sickness, which seems to be off the charts this year for us for some reason, the kids have been doing great. Sawyer is at the age of adding words all the time. Some of his favorites are "all done, ARA!, Daddy, Mommy, doggie, Frankie, HI!" Ara is as strong willed and independent as ever! Don't you dare try and help her with something. :-) She LOVES painting, anything art related, playing tea party and baking/helping in the kitchen. Where Sawyer could watch his dad cut wood all day long.
